History under construction!
The reserve has been proclaimed as Sabie Game Reserve by South African president Paul Kruger in 1898. This was the first game reserve of its kind. In 1926 the reserve received the status of a National Park and its current name: Kruger National Park. Today the park is the biggest connected reserve in South Africa.
Since 2000 the park is being enlarged to inlcude parts of Mozambique and Simbabwe. The new Great Limpopo Transfrontier Park includes now the Kruger National Park, the Limpopo-National Park in Mozambique and the Gonarezhou-Nationalpark in Simbabwe.
These petrographs are to be found in Bushmans Kloof - a private wilderness reserve near Cape Town.
